Michelangelo’s David

Art is everywhere in Florence. It can be seen in the beautiful architecture, the shops up and down the streets, and the immense collections in the museums. Michelangelo’s David, housed in the Galleria dell’ Accademia, is one of the primary pieces of artwork visited in Florence. David is the symbol of the Renaissance--confident and full of great power, yet displaying human characteristics and beauty.
